Volleyball Recap: Pleasant Hope Takes a Loss

Pleasant Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Marionville Comets. Surprisingly, this marked the Pirates' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19.

Marley Bader paced Pleasant Hope's offense, picking up two kills. Bader got some help from Abigail Fitzlaff and her four assists.

Pleasant Hope's loss dropped their record down to 10-16-3. As for Marionville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-11-3 record this season.

Pleasant Hope wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Russellville on the 11th. As for Marionville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Greenfield on the 11th.
