Volleyball Recap: East View Takes a Loss

East View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Georgetown Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

East View was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-12, 25-9.

Georgetown found their leader in sophomore Jordan Pitkethley, who had nine digs and four assists.

East View's loss dropped their record down to 18-20. As for Georgetown, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 25-11.

Looking ahead, East View will take on Pflugerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Georgetown, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Elgin on the 9th.
