Volleyball Recap: Brandywine Takes a Loss

Brandywine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bridgman Bees. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bees apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Brandywine actually scored more points across those three sets (70-67), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 17-25, 25-23.

Brandywine's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Bridgman, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8-3 record this season.

Brandywine will venture away from home to face off against Athens at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bridgman, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Lakeshore on the 29th.
