Rocori is on an eight-game streak of home wins, while Bemidji is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Rocori came out on top against Red Wing on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Spartans took their matchup against the Wingers 7-4. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Wingers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Nolan VanLoy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on nine hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Max Fredin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cal Heying, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, Bemidji faced East Grand Forks in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Lumberjacks put the hurt on the Green Wave with a sharp 15-7 win. The Lumberjacks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Eli Kringen was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jack Lundquist, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Bemidji hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive contests.
Rocori's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Bemidji, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
Bemidji's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rocori hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. It's a different story for Bemidji, though, as they've only averaged .250. Will they be able to contain Rocori's hitters?
Rocori suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Bemidji when the teams last played back in April of 2021. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
