After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cheyenne, Canyon Springs was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Western Warriors as Canyon Springs made off with a 25-8 victory. The Pioneers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jeri Rice was excellent, getting a hit.

Canyon Springs' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Western, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4-1 record this season.

Canyon Springs will challenge Sports Leadership & Management at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Canyon Springs' pitchers better be ready for this one: Sports Leadership & Management has averaged an impressive 11.5 runs per game this season. As for Western, they will square off against Virgin Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Western will need to watch out since Virgin Valley has now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
