Basketball Recap: Truman Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Truman entered their tilt with Columbus on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 73-62 victory over the Columbus Sharks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-54 back in December of 2024.

Truman pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.8 points per game. As for Columbus, they moved to 6-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Truman will venture away from home to take on Walton at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. One thing working in Walton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Columbus, they will host Evander Childs at 5:00 p.m. on January 24th. Evander Childs will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Columbus surely won't give up without a fight.
