Baseball Recap: Auburn Riverside Gets the Win

Auburn Riverside won the last time they faced Kentridge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ravens sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Ravens have posted since April 1st.

Cameron Bain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. He has become a key player for Auburn Riverside: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Auburn Riverside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Soto, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Another was Caleb Anardi, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Auburn Riverside's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Kentridge, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-4-1.

Auburn Riverside will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chargers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
