Soccer Recap: Cinco Ranch Takes a Loss

After flying high against Katy last Wednesday, Cinco Ranch came back down to earth. The Cinco Ranch Cougars fell just short of the Katy Taylor Mustangs by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Mustangs are ranked 46th).

Cinco Ranch's goal came courtesy of Sebastian Coburn, who's now up to four this season.

Cinco Ranch dropped their record down to 3-4-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Katy Taylor, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1-1.

When Cinco Ranch and Katy Taylor next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Cinco Ranch will square off against Jordan and their four-game winning streak at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Katy Taylor will try to stop Seven Lakes' seven-game winning streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
