Softball Recap: Diboll Takes a Loss

Diboll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Heights Blue Devils. The Lumberjacks were not able to make up for their loss to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Diboll's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Central Heights, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Diboll will face off against rival Newton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Central Heights is set to challenge their familiar foe Pollok Central at 6:00 p.m. on the 11th. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Central Heights 2.2, Pollok Central 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
