Baseball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Franklin's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Putnam Kingsmen on Monday. If the Quakers were looking for revenge after losing 7-1 to the Kingsmen when the teams met back in March of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Franklin dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Putnam, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will challenge McDaniel at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mountain Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Quakers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Putnam, they will square off against North Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
