Softball Game Preview: Hall Red Devils vs. Midland Timberwolves

The Hall Red Devils will face off against the Midland Timberwolves at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Midland took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hall, who comes in off a win.

Hall will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Newman Central Catholic, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Red Devils walked away with an 11-8 win over the Comets on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Madison Krewer was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits. Krewer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ava Delphi was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubrie Pellegrini, who went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs.

Meanwhile, Midland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 10-4 to Henry-Senachwine.

Adalynn Stickel (2027) was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Maggie Dorsey (2027) was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Hall's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Midland, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
