Volleyball Recap: The Gregory School Hawks vs. Patagonia Lobos
The Gregory School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Patagonia Lobos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lobos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in August.
The Gregory School took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 20-25, 25-23, 15-10.
Patagonia got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Monique Snell out in front who had 19 kills and three aces. What's more, Snell posted two digs, the most she's had since back in August. Amaya Somoza was another key player, getting four digs and four aces.
The Gregory School's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Patagonia, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
The Gregory School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against North Valley Christian Academy on the 30th. As for Patagonia, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Valley Union on the 30th.
