Volleyball Recap: University Takes a Loss

University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Madison Mavericks.

Madison was led to victory by Aubrianna Jefferson and Deylen Mendivil. Jefferson had nine digs and one assist, while Mendivil hit 50% for seven kills and 13 digs and four aces. Those 50% hitting percentage gave Mendivil a new career-high.

University's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Madison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

University didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against McCallum on the 21st. As for Madison, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Weiss on the 21st.
