Edgewood extended their losing streak to ten on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-11. They lost 16-6 to the North Harford Hawks. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.
Sierra Gaither was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayah McGraw, who got on base in two of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
As for North Harford, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Considering they have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
On North Harford's side, Ashlie McMillan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. McMillan has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Chloe Greb was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Alyssa Aungst was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base.
While Edgewood had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
