Northeastern proved they can win big  last Wednesday (they won by three) and  on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Whitehall Zephyrs  1-0. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
 The  1-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of  32-30.
 Hugh Rogers paced Northeastern's offense, picking up six kills. Rogers got some help from  Jacob Zambito and his 16 assists. Finally,  Rogers was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Northeastern's victory bumped their record up to 6-2-2. As for Whitehall,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-2.
 Looking ahead, Northeastern will stay at home for another  game and welcome Saegertown at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Whitehall, they will welcome Lansdale Catholic  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
