Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Vista Thunder vs. O'Connor Eagles

Desert Vista hasn't had much luck against O'Connor recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Desert Vista will venture away from home to square off against O'Connor at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Desert Vista's tournament run continued when they took on Sunrise Mountain on Saturday. Desert Vista fell just short of Sunrise Mountain by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Desert Vista sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-17, 21-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, O'Connor faced Higley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. O'Connor fell just short of Higley by a score of 3-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 12-8. As for Desert Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

Desert Vista came up short against O'Connor in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Desert Vista avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
