Volleyball Recap: Copper Hills Takes a Loss

Copper Hills was the 2-0 winner over Davis when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Darts by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Grizzlies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Darts 25-20 in the first set.

Copper Hills took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-21, 15-8.

Claire Shupe went supernova For Davis., getting 22 assists and 16 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Donigan, who had 13 digs and ten assists.

Copper Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Davis, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Copper Hills will square off against Uintah at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Davis, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on West Field at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
