Basketball Game Preview: Schulenburg Shorthorns vs. Ganado Indians

The Schulenburg Shorthorns will take on the Ganado Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Schulenburg ended up a good deal behind Weimar and lost 48-33. The loss continues a trend for the Shorthorns in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 48-20, which was the final score in Ganado's tilt against Weimar on Friday.

Ganado's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Schulenburg, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.

Schulenburg was able to grind out a solid victory over Ganado in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 42-32. Will Schulenburg repeat their success, or does Ganado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
