After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whitehall, Pocono Mountain East was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Pocono Mountain West Panthers 3-0. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

The win didn't come easy: Pocono Mountain West scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 26-24.

Pocono Mountain East's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Pocono Mountain West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Looking ahead, Pocono Mountain East will square off against Tunkhannock at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pocono Mountain West, they will take on Parkland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
