Basketball Game Preview: Eagle Point Eagles vs. Crater Comets

Eagle Point is 1-9 against Crater since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagle Point Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Crater Comets at 5:30 p.m. Eagle Point will be strutting in after a win while Crater will be coming in after a loss.

Eagle Point will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 29 points last Friday, then bounced right back against Springfield on Friday. Eagle Point managed a 61-57 victory over Springfield. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Millers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Crater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thurston. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Colts are ranked 12th).

Eagle Point's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Crater, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Eagle Point might still be hurting after the 80-54 defeat they got from Crater in their previous matchup back in January. Can Eagle Point avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
