Football Recap: Basic Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sports Leadership & Management last Monday, Basic came back down to earth. The Basic Wolves had to suffer through a 46-12 loss at the hands of the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Diamondbacks: they've now lost five in a row.

NATALEE RAMOS threw for 64 yards and one touchdown. ELI MIRANDA was her top target, picking up 34 receiving yards.

Basic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Desert Oasis, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Basic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 31-12 win against Sports Leadership & Management on the 13th. As for Desert Oasis, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sierra Vista at 4:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Desert Oasis knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Sierra Vista likes a good challenge.
