Football Game Preview: Archbishop Hannan Hawks vs. Franklinton Demons + Official Tickets

Archbishop Hannan is 0-3 against Franklinton since October of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Hawks are taking a road trip to face off against the Demons at 7:00 p.m.

Archbishop Hannan is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Lakeshore on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Hawks took a blow against Lakeshore, falling 46-14. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 191st, while Lakeshore are ranked 48th).

Despite the defeat, Archbishop Hannan got top-tier performance from Riley Jones, who rushed for 146 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.

Meanwhile, Franklinton waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 20-7.

A big part of Franklinton's victory came down to the chemistry between Jacob Crain and his top target Jayden Burkhalter. Crain threw for 185 yards and a pair of TDs while Burkhalter picked up 66 receiving yards and two scores. Those two receiving touchdowns gave Burkhalter a new career-high.

Archbishop Hannan's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Franklinton, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Archbishop Hannan might still be hurting after the 49-27 defeat they got from Franklinton in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
