Softball Recap: Moorefield's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, Moorefield rose to the challenge on Thursday. They beat the Philip Barbour Colts by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 10-2. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Moorefield's third in a row) raised their record to 8-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Philip Barbour, they now have a losing record of 12-13-1.

As of now, neither Moorefield nor the Colts have any future games scheduled.
