Baseball Game Preview: Amherst Falcons vs. Bonduel Bears

The Amherst Falcons will square off against the Bonduel Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Amherst is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Amherst came up short against Pacelli and fell 9-4.

Amherst saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sully Perkins, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Bonduel and Brillion, and Brillion kept the tradition alive. The Bears fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Bonduel has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Amherst, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Amherst couldn't quite get it done against Bonduel in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
