Softball Recap: Riverside-Durham Takes a Loss

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Riverside-Durham was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They came up short against the Vance Charter Knights, falling 16-2. The Pirates were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

Riverside-Durham saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Knotts, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2.

Riverside-Durham now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Vance Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside-Durham will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Carrboro at 5:00 p.m. on March 24th. As for Vance Charter, they will face off against Vance County at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
