Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Matti Sorensen and Alyson Moore Lead South Sevier to Victory

South Sevier came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Grand County Red Devils by a score of 3-1 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

The win didn't come easy: Grand County scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24, 20-25, 25-20.

South Sevier was led to victory by Alyson Moore and Matti Sorensen. Moore had 11 digs and one assist, while Sorensen had 19 digs and five kills. Those 19 digs gave Sorensen a new career-high.

South Sevier now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Grand County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

South Sevier didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against San Juan on the 4th. As for Grand County, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Parowan on the 4th.
