Softball Game Preview: Tri-Valley Scotties vs. John Glenn Little Muskies

For the second straight game, Tri-Valley will face off against John Glenn. The Scotties will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Little Muskies at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tri-Valley has four straight victories, John Glenn has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Tri-Valley will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating John Glenn, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Scotties came out on top against the Little Muskies by a score of 10-6 on Tuesday.

Paiton Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cydnee Wolford was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ally Peterson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Tri-Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

John Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tri-Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
