Basketball Recap: Circle Christian Comes Up Short

Circle Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 60-40 to the Calvary Christian Academy Lions. The Centurions lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in January of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 79-19 score last time.

Calvary Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nehemiah Wigley, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christophger Terrell Jr, who put up 14 points.

Circle Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Calvary Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Geneva the next time they take the court. Calvary Christian Academy will head out to face Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Circle Christian will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
