Basketball Recap: Northland Christian Takes a Loss

If Northland Christian was feeling good fresh off their 43-22 takedown of Bishop Ward last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Northland Christian were dealt a 57-24 loss at the hands of the Heritage Christian Academy Chargers on Friday. Northland Christian has struggled against Heritage Christian Academy recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Heritage Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Mia Vinson, who went 8-for-12 on her way to 22 points and four steals. The match was Vinson's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Ella Grace Gower was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 10 points.

Northland Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Northland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they will square off against Santa Fe Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
