Soccer Recap: Highland Gets the Win

After failing to score in their last match, Highland made sure to put some goals up on the board against Higley on Thursday. They never let the Higley Knights onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Hawks' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Higley with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jace Blanco, Marco De La Fuente, Josh Orellana-Valencia, and Liam Carpenter.

Highland's win bumped their record up to 9-6-2. As for Higley, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland will host Desert Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Desert Ridge will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Highland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Higley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gilbert at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
