Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Carter Wachs and Kameron Losoya Lead Redmond to Victory

There's no place like home for Redmond, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 21-7 win over the Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community Buckaroos on Friday. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 35-34 victory the Buckaroos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Leading Redmond to victory were Kameron Losoya and Carter Wachs. Losoya rushed for 121 yards and one score on only nine carries, while Wachs picked up 94 receiving yards and one TD.

Another reason for the win was Redmond's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kysen Newton and Gannon McNulty, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Redmond now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redmond will venture away from home to square off against Crook County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Pendleton/Nixyaawii Community, they will challenge Weiser at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
