If Jones County was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Tattnall Square Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greyhounds fell just short of the Lake Oconee Academy Titans by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Greyhounds' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jones County started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-14, 15-7.

Jones County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Lake Oconee Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Coincidentally, Jones County and Lake Oconee Academy will both be playing Mary Persons the next time they take the court. The Titans will head out to face the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Greyhounds will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
