Softball Recap: Johnston Panthers vs. Barrington Eagles

Johnston waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 9-1 margin over the Barrington Eagles. That's more bragging rights for Johnston, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Haley Boudreau made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Boudreau has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings every time she's pitched this season. Boudreau was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and a triple.

In other batting news, Arianna Velasquez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Bella Boudreau was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
