Basketball Recap: Methodist Children's Home Skates Past Memorial Christian Academy with Ease

Methodist Children's Home won the last time they faced Memorial Christian Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Methodist Children's Home Bulldogs really took it to the Memorial Christian Academy Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-28 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season.

Methodist Children's Home's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Londen Bickham, who posted 17 points along with six assists and five boards. Bickham's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Olice Brown-Lynch was another key player, going 9-for-20 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds.

Bickham wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Methodist Children's Home was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Memorial Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cody Williams, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 boards, and Kalin Love, who had 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Williams has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last four times he's played. Nicolaas Contreras also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Methodist Children's Home has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Memorial Christian Academy dropped their record down to 4-17 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Methodist Children's Home wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 83-22 loss against Trinity Christian Academy on the 13th. Memorial Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
