Football Game Preview: Vernon Vikings vs. Lakeland Regional Lancers + How To Watch

The Vernon Vikings will take on the Lakeland Regional Lancers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Vernon has given up an average of 26.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Vernon took a blow against Mount Olive, falling 62-27. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Marauders are ranked 25th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kimkowski Nate, who threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Lakeland Regional was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 27-21 to Ramsey. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Lakeland Regional, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
