Basketball Game Preview: Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks vs. Mosley Dolphins

The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks will square off against the Mosley Dolphins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Port St. Joe's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Port St. Joe will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Franklin County, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Port St. Joe came out on top against Franklin County by a score of 70-58 on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Port St. Joe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zay Jenkins, who posted 19 points along with eight boards and five assists. Those eight boards gave Jenkins a new career-high. Elijah Harris was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.

Port St. Joe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Mosley's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Niceville on Saturday. Mosley blew past North Bay Haven Academy 64-40. Given the Dolphins' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 455th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Port St. Joe's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Mosley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Port St. Joe didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Mosley when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory. Does Port St. Joe have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mosley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
