Softball Game Preview: Logan Grizzlies vs. Crimson Cliffs Mustangs

For the second straight game, Logan will face off against Crimson Cliffs. The Grizzlies will challenge the Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Logan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Logan heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of Crimson Cliffs by a score of 1-0. The Grizzlies' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

For Crimson Cliffs' part, not much got past Gracee Stucki, who gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Logan off the board. Stucki has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

The win was the ninth in a row for Crimson Cliffs, bringing their record up to 15-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.

Both Logan and Crimson Cliffs just can't seem to miss. The Grizzlies have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Crimson Cliffs struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.3 hits.
