Softball Game Preview: Hobgood Charter Raiders vs. Bear Grass Charter Bears

For the second straight game, Hobgood Charter will face off against Bear Grass Charter. The Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hobgood Charter has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hobgood Charter is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs last Wednesday, they were much more limited against Bear Grass Charter on Tuesday. Hobgood Charter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kinsey Peel, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Peel has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Bear Grass Charter pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hobgood Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
