Baseball Recap: Central Cabarrus Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Central Cabarrus had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans on Tuesday. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 10-1 to them when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Garret Black made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (four).

Coming up, Central Cabarrus will take on Carson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they will challenge West Cabarrus at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
