Rosepine extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping them up to 12-5. They put the hurt on the DeQuincy Tigers with a sharp 14-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

As for DeQuincy, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-8. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For DeQuincy's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Pettifield, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Pettifield is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Rosepine will head out to square off against Pitkin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for DeQuincy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Merryville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.13 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
