It was a proper cat-fight when Lakewood took on Evergreen on Saturday. The Tigers came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Lakewood had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-18.

Emerson Irving paced Lakewood's offense, picking up 17 kills. Irving got some help from Morgan Thompson and her 17 assists. Aisley Nicholson controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Lakewood's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Evergreen, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-11.

Lakewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Valor Christian on the 28th. As for Evergreen, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Green Mountain on the 27th.
