Donovan Catholic put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Central Regional Golden Eagles with a sharp 13-5 win. The Griffins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Eagles, too.

Donovan Catholic got a big performance out of Christina Ginex, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Jaelynn Nunez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Donovan Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .406 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Donovan Catholic pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Central Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
