Softball Recap: Humble Triumphs

Humble's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Aldine Mustangs. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Emma Wilkinson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Braelynn Haiola was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Humble's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Aldine, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Humble wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Dayton on the 19th. As for Aldine, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-0 loss against Silsbee on the 19th.
