Basketball Recap: Elmwood-Murdock Comes Up Short

Elmwood-Murdock lost against Freeman last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Elmwood-Murdock Knights were outmatched by the Freeman Falcons and fell 74-32. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Falcons are ranked 14th).

Elmwood-Murdock's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Freeman, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Looking ahead, Elmwood-Murdock won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Johnson County Central at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Freeman, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons challenge the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
