Basketball Game Preview: Mercer Island Islanders vs. Issaquah Eagles

The Mercer Island Islanders will face off against the Issaquah Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Wednesday, Mercer Island had to suffer through a 74-46 loss at the hands of Woodinville. While losing is never fun, the Islanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Falcons are ranked first).

Issaquah has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 54-39 to Bothell, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
