Softball Recap: Coleman Wins Going Away Against Carman-Ainsworth

Coleman had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Carman-Ainsworth on Saturday. The Comets were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Cavaliers.

Isabelle Lewis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.

In other batting news, Sydney Bovee was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Kendall Allen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Coleman hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carman-Ainsworth struck out 12 times.

Coleman's record is now 6-13. As for Carman-Ainsworth, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Coleman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-7 win against Fulton on the 7th. As for Carman-Ainsworth, they have also already played their next contest, a 21-0 defeat against Merrill on the 3rd.
