Soccer Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

Coronado lost against Franklin back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Coronado Thunderbirds took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 395th, while the Cougars are ranked 159th).

Coronado dropped their record down to 6-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Franklin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Coronado will face off against Pebble Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin, they will head out to square off against Montwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.
