Volleyball Game Preview: Verdugo Hills Dons vs. Poly Parrots

The Verdugo Hills Dons will take on the Poly Parrots at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, Verdugo Hills made easy work of Monroe and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Dons in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Verdugo Hills took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-14.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Poly sidestepped Roosevelt for a 3-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Parrots.

Poly wouldn't go down easily and took Roosevelt into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 25-15, 22-25, 22-20.

Poly's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Verdugo Hills, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
