Baseball Recap: Madison-Ridgeland Academy Find Success

Jackson Prep typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Madison-Ridgeland Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Jackson Prep. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 7, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Parks Fuller looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Madison-Ridgeland Academy is 6-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Madison-Ridgeland Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Gardener, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy's record is now 11-9. As for Jackson Prep, their defeat ended a 28-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-7-1.
