Preview: Eads Eagles vs. Idalia Wolves

Eads has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Idalia Wolves at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Eads is ranked 29th, while Idalia is ranked 18th).

Eads managed to keep up with Idalia until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Eads had to suffer through a rough 54-24 loss at the hands of Idalia. Eads was down 42-18 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Stockton Mitchek and Gabe Kechter. Kechter had a great game and rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Mitchek was balling out in the loss, rushing for 38 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 78 receiving yards.

Eads' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Idalia, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

However, it's not like Idalia struggles in that department as they've been even better at 226.4 per game. It's looking like Friday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
